Camtasia Project: Edited Video

Audio and Video· Multimedia· Video Capture & Editing

This Camtasia project is a demo of editing an existing video. The topic was a book summary of Flow, by Mihaly Csikszentmihaly. The amazing original video can be found here, on the Fight Mediocrity YouTube channel.

In this project, I added captions and several graphic elements to augment the existing video. I have listed some of the additions below the video.

Here are a few ways I used Camtasia to improve an existing video:

  1. Callouts
  2. Icons & graphics
  3. Focus areas
  4. Altered the Sound for emphasis
  5. Added closed captioning to all

These are just a few of the ways that I used Camtasia to leverage Multimedia Theory (words + graphics) and increase engagement.
